California Store Sued for Dummy Attack
"A California woman is suing a department store claiming she was attacked by a legless female mannequin.
Diana Newton, 51, charges she was knocked on the head by a dummy at J.C. Penney's in Westminster, leaving her with a bloodied scalp, cracked tooth and recurring shoulder pain and numbness in her fingers, the Los Angeles Times reports.
At the time of the accident Newton was waiting for a sales clerk to remove a blouse the dummy was wearing.
The dummy's arm flew off and struck Newton in the head, according to her lawsuit which was filed in Orange County Superior Court last month."
Yeah, if she was just standing there waiting, then why would the mannequin just suddenly thwack her? I think she was getting a little to fresh and feely for the dummy and the dummy fought back.
